****CHISTMAS IN NEW YORK CITY IS DIFFERENT FROM ANY PLACE ELSE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH….and probably in the universe. it has its wonderful highs and its evil lows. how would like to hear the nicest christmas true tale that i know? hopefully your local broadcaster is calling me this month.

****FAIRLY TYPICAL OF A NEW YORK CITY BUS DRIVER….he stopped the bus and just got out to pick up a newspaper and a coffee. when he came back to the bus, he didn’t even have the courtesy of lying and saying he went to the bathroom as a fake excuse.

****WHEN THEY CLOSE THE SCHOOLS FOR CHRISTMAS….maybe they might clean them. the big apple has a terrible school system which is thoroughly corrupt. there are true tales that will curl your hair.

****WELFARE CHECKS AND THEN DRIVER’S LICENSE…is the way of the streets. the city fathers put these two bureaucracies next to each other so that the welfare folks have an easier time to get their driver’s license. many of them have fancy cars.

****THE BIG APPLE IS ABOUT TO PASS A LAW MAKING IT AGAINST THE LAW TO FEED PIGEONS….which is just about the most stupid thing to do. even though, they are filthy birds who crap all over the place, it will be impossible to enforce. “hey lady, drop that pigeon or i will blast you” is what the cops will say?

****THIS IS NOT MY BROTHER IN LAW'S RESTAURANT (a neat place to eat in new york city)….the thanksgiving dinner we had at picholine at 35 west 64th street is an example of the quality of food and the excellent service of this absolutely delightful place. the eats were real good. how about that pumpkin bisque or that squash gnocchi? the turkey was the way turkey should be and we are quite sure at other times of the year, other dishes will come up to the standard presented. we ended with a warm apple caramel brioche. how many days is it to next thanksgiving? yummy.

****THE SNEAKY CAMERA (the hidden camera)….a growing collection of new yorkers are unaware that they are being watched by a certain taxi driver. new ones are added from time to time. take a peep at SNEAKY

****YENTA YACK FROM THE BACK OF THE HACK (what they are talking about in the yellow mobile conveyance lounge)….”i will not be buying any toys made in china for my kid” is the most common heard phrase in the new york city taxis.
