****TWO WARS ARE BETTER THAN ONE…. some people die, some people make profits with u.s. army contracts. WAR

****THE MOST DANGEROUS BRIDGE IN NEW YORK CITY IS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE....after the bridge dropped in minneapolis some civil engineers here in the big apple (not connected to the city fathers) decided to check out our more than 800 bridges.

****HERE IS WHAT THEY FOUND OUT....we are all doomed. as usual, government in the big apple is worthless when it comes to protecting the citizens from danger.

****THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT WANT YOU TAKING PICTURES ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY....and they are asking you to buy a fee-based license to take photos. that plan should go over well with tourists. here are two pictures they don't want taken. the first is a cop giving out a ticket to a driver for being in a bus stop. the second photo shows a truck driver not getting a ticket for being in that same bus stop because the cop knew him. ask me about the two times i was arrested when this law was in force before and then removed from the books. now they want that very same law to be put back on the books.

****FREE STUFF IN THE BIG APPLE....anyone, whether they are a student or not, whether they are a citizen are not, can show up at any school in this city and get a free breakfast and a free lunch as long as they are under nineteen. this is a great deal for tourists who have the courage to just walk in and ask for it. you can be assured that no one will give you a hard time because the company that is getting paid by the city by the meal to do this wants as many customers as it can get. also, people over 65 get all the free condoms they want and six viagara type pills a month for absolutely nothing.

****HOW MUCH....is a genuine gabby cabby shirt which you can only get when you take a tour? the owner of j.r. mcmahon in lurgan, county armagh, northern ireland has put one in his very fine store. he has three stores so i guess i should have given him three shirts. however, he better not sell it for less than a thousand pounds.

****QUIET PLEASE, THIS IS THE LIBRARY (get away from the din of life)...."The Great Bridge: The Epic Story of the Building of the Brooklyn Bridge" by David McCullough published by Simon and Schuster. as long as we are thinking about bridges this is a great book for summer reading. just don't read it on a bridge.

****THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY (what the media didn't tell you)....the new york times had a story that said lady lawyers can make more money than men lawyers in new york city. note the picture the newspaper ran with the story which kind of explains why the ladies get more money.

****THE EARL THEATER (it used to be on 161st street in the bronx. new york city has lots of rich people, but it has many more people living in slums thanks to the inaction of the city government and crooked landlords. SLUM

****THE HEY ABBOTT AWARD (an epistle about life)....the united states coast guard for insisting that three guys in a homemade sub be arrested for being in nyc harbor. once in was clear that they posed no threat they should have been asked to leave the harbor. if the coast guard was doing its job, how come a sub gets into the new york city harbor in the first place? only when it was on the surface, did anyone know about it.
