****JASON BLAIR AWARD (for the worst print journalism last week)….the new york times published a picture of a grieving family at the funeral of their son. the caption pointed out that the united states army “officer” was consoling the family. the picture clearly shows that the soldier is a sergeant first class. obviously no one currently working for the new york times has served this nation in the army. the caption was not corrected even through the final editions of the newspaper. this leads into another true tale of when the gabby cabby had a “widow” at the new york times.
