(bush, cheney, rumsfeld, rice and schoomaker).

****ANNUAL TAXI PISS TEST….but you are not to do it in the cab. would you believe the drivers get a three month notice about the day of the test? it is a great deal of nonsense which brings $24 a pee to the lab which is probably owned by some city taxi administration official. whose urine do you think is in this cup?

**AND SPEAKING OF TAXI DRIVERS….at sometime in the past, danny glover racist/actor accused new york city taxi drivers of not picking up black people. in a rush to judgment, the taxi commission started handing out fines to drivers. a court has just ruled that there was no substance to the glover accusation and all the money for all the fines is to be refunded to the drivers.

****DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE ARABS HANDLING OUR PORTS….worry about the homeland security administration which is run by a bunch of fools (remember katrina?). trucks are being left on the streets of new york city and no one cares. so far none of them has had a weapon of mass destruction in it.

****SPEAK NEW YAWK (people will wonder at your sophistication)…. “schmutz” is dirt.

****OLD TIME RADIO (shows you might be too young to remember)….mel blanc was probably best known for the many voices he did for cartoon movies. THE PAST

****THE GENERAL CUSTER MEDAL (given to our current military minds, not so bright) ….it was revealed this past week that hussein told his generals that he did not have weapons of mass destruction for them to use. so everyone in iraq seemed to know that, but the united states army didn’t, thanks to the fools at the central intelligence agency.

****THE SNEAKY CAMERA (the hidden camera)….a growing collection of new yorkers are unaware that they are being watched by a certain taxi driver. new ones are added from time to time. take a peep at SNEAKY

****YENTA YACK FROM THE BACK OF THE HACK (what they are talking about in the yellow mobile conveyance lounge)….can you imagine that they picked a british architect who wants a boycott of israel to work on the new jacob javits center, named for the late jewish senator from new york? jake must be twirling in his grave. lord richard rogers should have stuck to writing bway musicals (only kidding).

****QUIET PLEASE, THIS IS THE LIBRARY (get away from the din of life)…. more poems have been written about new york city than any other city in the world. here is the latest one. “new and collected poems” by harvey shapiro published by wesleyan university press.

****THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY (what the media didn't tell you)....it was reported this week that the big apple is on its way to becoming a “minority” city. whites are leaving and hispanics are moving in. what was not reported was that the hispanics who are moving in are mostly taking either illegal work or menial work. call it the dumbing down of new york city.

****STAY INDOORS IF IT RAINS (keep dry).... at the new york public library, fifth avenue and 42nd street, there is a fascinating exhibit called “letters to sala” which is about a young woman’s life in a nazi labor camp.

****THE EARL THEATER (it used to be on 161st street in the bronx. new york city has lots of rich people, but it has many more people living in slums thanks to the inaction of the city government and crooked landlords. SLUM

****STOP THE MUSIC (do you know what tv show this theme came from?)….everyone just hoped that they too could have their own witch living in their house. this particular witch was the kind that made you drool. TV

****AMMA'S KITCHEN (a recipe)….this is what you would find cooking in a nyc home)….there is nothing crummy about this dessert. GOOD EATS
