****NEW YORK CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT DOESN'T WANT ANY COMBAT MARINES TO WORK FOR IT….this guy served four years off at war and because he wasn't around to get his number for the fireman test, they threw him off the list. by the way, the fireman are currently taking more time to get to fires and they have complained that they should not be called to a fire if they are having a meal. most new york city firemen are white males. FIRE

MILITARY ****THE SNEAKY CAMERA (the hidden camera)….a growing collection of new yorkers are unaware that they are being watched by a certain taxi driver. new ones are added from time to time. take a peep at SNEAKY ****YENTA YACK FROM THE BACK OF THE HACK (what they are talking about in the yellow mobile conveyance lounge)….the lady who got a $150 ticket for putting her groceries on the subway seat next to her seat. the cop was obviously a big schmuck. ****THE WHITE FEATHER (given to the cowards of the past week)....the american media which didn't have the courage to stand behind the stupid danish newspaper who published that now famous cartoon. ****QUIET PLEASE, THIS IS THE LIBRARY (get away from the din of life)…. "the good nanny" by benjamin cheever, published by bloomsbury. set in a new york literary world family which just loves to have a black maid in its midst. ****THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY (what the media didn't tell you)....city officials are tapping internet online accounts and going after folks who buy cigarettes online to avoid the city sales tax. ****STAY INDOORS IF IT RAINS (keep dry)....the asia society at 725 park avenue is showing contemporary iranian films. what a neat way to learn about our latest white house created enemy. UMBRELLA TIME ****THE EARL THEATER (it used to be on 161st street in the bronx. now it is here and this month's feature is "park avenue" which shows you how you are so poor because you don't live on this avenue with the rich people. HONK HONK ****THE HEY ABBOTT AWARD (an epistle about life)....liam kavanaugh is the first deputy commissioner of the new york city parks department. he probably would sell central park if he could. EPISTLE ****TAKE A HIKE (discovering where the famous and infamous spots are) ….ernest hemingway lived at 1 east 62nd street just off fifth avenue. ERNIE ****CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE BIZARRE (hard to believe)....the new york city school system has so many fat kids that the board of education has decided to start giving them diet foods like skimmed milk. no more regular milk for a million students in a thousand schools. ****STOP THE MUSIC (do you know what tv show this theme came from?)….the audio on the television shows was better than the show most of the time. a hint is "a black man acting like a black man with a son trying to be groovy in a junkyard." TV ****JASON BLAIR AWARD (for the worst journalism during the previous week)….tv presenters and editorial writers lamented president bush listening in on our telephone conversations. why didn't they mention that just about every tv station and newspaper and magazine in this country puts a cookie on your computer when you visit their sites online that tells them everything about you? it probably even tells them when you fart.
