****CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE BIZARRE (people are people)....this isn’t the way coney island looks these days, but lots of people do go swimming all winter long.


****POSSIBILITIES (could it not be?)....that leo durocher who was the manager of the brooklyn dodges was right when he said “nice guys finish last..” a new york city taxi driver was a hero when he returned $6,664 left in his cab. nine weeks later he was dead. his name was benjamin adjepong and he is still a hero.

****AMMA'S KITCHEN (a recipe….this is what you would find cooking in a nyc home)….a nice beef stew on a cold day. GOOD EATS

****JASON BLAIR AWARD (for the worst journalism during the previous week)….cnn talked about a possible terrorist threat on grand central station. there is no such place in new york city. TERMINAL
